POINTS TO CONSIDER WHEN OFFERING PUBLIC COMMENT
Don’t feel that you have to attend every meeting; try to attend at least one school board meeting if possible.
Marshall is a school of choice--every family specifically chose Marshall. Tell your story on why your family chose Marshall.
Explain the unique benefits of an integrated 6-12 secondary school model, and why the 6-12 model is a reason your family chose Marshall.
Personalize what Marshall means to your family and how the loss of Marshall would affect your family.
Educate the Board as to the hardships your family and our students have faced (prior school closures, COVID, fires, etc.) and how those have affected your families and our students.
Marshall is a diverse community and the most integrated school. It is important to have all Marshall families represented in our public comments and comments to the Board.
Be positive and focus on Marshall, not on other schools.
